We are thrilled that Edna will be gaining the experiences of Ms. Lind this year, who has shifted from GEJ and Hollis schools to work with our Standish and Steep Falls schools. Welcome, Ms. Lind!
Hello Edna Libby students and families! My name is Valerie Lind, and I am excited to serve as the new music teacher at Edna Libby Elementary School this year. While this will be my second year with the district—having joined in January of the previous school year—it marks my first year teaching at all three of the Standish elementary schools. As a graduate of the MSAD 6 school district, it has been rewarding to come back to this wonderful school community. I’m excited to help our students explore, create, and grow through music throughout the year!

I am so happy to officially welcome Kim Frost to Edna Libby in the role of Building Ed Tech. Kim has been a substitute teacher at Edna over the last year, filling in frequently in nearly every capacity, from classroom teacher, to specialist, to special educator. Having been a special education teacher in the past, Kim has a great understanding of schools and children. Kim is a parent of two Edna students and is already very engaged in the community in her role on our Parent Teacher Organization. She is always helping our students and teachers! Please welcome Kim to our team!

I am so pleased to introduce our new full time nurse, Ms. Darcy-Jo Tarr!
Hi everyone, I am Darcy. I will be the Nurse at Edna Libby this year. I have been a nurse for 20 years, I worked 18 years in the Pediatric ICU at Maine Medical Center and most recently have been the school nurse at Bonny Eagle High School for 3 years. I am very excited for the transition to Edna Libby! I am a single mom to 3 amazing kiddos, McKenna my oldest is 13 and I have twins Bentley and Kinleigh who are almost 11. They keep me busy playing basketball, softball, and my son races Go-Karts on Friday nights. In our free time we love camping, being outdoors, and enjoying all the four seasons Maine has to offer. Can’t wait to meet everyone!

Joining the Standish and Steep Falls schools this year as a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM!) specialist is Mr. Dave Warner. We are thrilled for this addition to our learning communities!
Originally from Massachusetts, Dave went south, to Virginia, for college, where he met his wife, Jillian. After obtaining his Master's degree from Norwich University, Dave began teaching in Arlington, Virginia, helping local students gain admission to the prestigious Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, and flex their curiosity in the Arlington County School District. In 2020, he and his wife relocated back to New England to be nearer to family, and last year, he joined Steep Falls Elementary as a long-term 5th-Grade Substitute Teacher. When he is not tinkering with technology, or building interactive lessons, Mr. Warner can be found fly fishing the Saco, crafting and painting at home, or hiking with his wife and hound dog, Winnie. He is excited to pose thought-provoking questions, and provide problem-filled conundrums so our students can think, grow, and solve their way to success!

I am so thrilled to officially welcome Mollie Wilson to our Edna team!
My name is Mollie Wilson, and I’m so excited to be joining Edna Libby as a first-year teacher! I recently graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Holistic Health.
I’m originally from Windsor, Maine, but currently live in Gardiner with my boyfriend. Some of my favorite things to do outside of school include visiting the ocean, reading a good book, and spending time with family and friends.
I first joined the Edna Libby community last September as a student intern and long-term substitute in Kindergarten—and I quickly fell in love with the school. I’m absolutely thrilled to be returning full-time and can’t wait to begin this new chapter!

Next up, I'd like to welcome Ms. Lovejoy, who will be joining us as a Kindergarten teacher at Edna Libby this fall!
My name is Nicole Lovejoy, and I’m so excited to be joining the Edna Libby community! I grew up in Buxton, Maine, and attended the Bonny Eagle School System as a student. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and later completed my Master’s in Elementary Education through Western Governors University.
I currently live in Gray but am in the process of building a home in Alfred—complete with a barn and (soon!) some Highland cows! In my free time, I love all things Disney, spending time outdoors, and getting creative with crafting.
I recently wrapped up my first year in the classroom as a fourth-grade teacher, and I’m thrilled to be transitioning to kindergarten. I can’t wait to share my passion for teaching and learning with my new students and fellow educators!

Happy Summer, Edna Community! I'm so excited to introduce a few folks we are welcoming to Edna Libby for the upcoming school year. First, please welcome Ms. Aguirre, who will be teaching Kindergarten this year at Edna:
Hi! My name is Jasmine Aguirre and I am a first year teacher! I graduated from Plymouth State University in 2024 with a degree in Elementary Education and just recently wrapped up the Extended Teachers Education Program at the University of Southern Maine to obtain my Masters.
I am from Westbrook, Maine, but currently live in Scarborough with my boyfriend. During my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, and crafting.
For the past 6 months, I’ve been interning at Edna Libby. I’m so grateful to be a part of this community and can’t wait for the school year to start!
